Designing and building a new website for your business is a tricky process that is frequently underestimated. A few days ago, I published a blog titled The Importance of Hiring a Good Web Designer, which discussed (as the title implies!) why you need to be careful about who you employ to build your new website.
The process, from deciding that you need a new website to seeing that website go live, can be lengthy and sometimes complicated and it is vital that you and your designer can work frankly and effectively with each other.
On top of that, as I laid out in The Importance of Hiring a Good Web Designer, there are several crucial factors that must be built in to a new website to ensure it is successful long after its initial unveiling and your Web Designer must be able to deliver all of these elements.
As such (and I can’t stress this enough) it is absolutely crucial that you choose the right Web Designer for both you and your business. Finding out later down the line that you can’t work with your designer, or that they are unable to deliver what you need, is not only a frustrating waste of time but it will also cost you hundreds and possibly even thousands of pounds.
So how do you go about picking a Web Designer? ‘Easy peasy’, you might think, ‘there are millions of designers out there, I’ll just do a Google search and pick the first one that comes up’. As Yoda may say, were he to be put in the predicament of choosing a website for the Jedi (yes, I spend too much time on my own!); a simple answer it is; the right answer it is not.
To help you make the right decision, and because I’m good to you, I’ve put down the 5 easy steps to choosing the right Web Designer in a handy PDF, which should help you take the pain out of this decision and make the process that little bit easier. Plus, you can download it to boot!
