Background

A leading independent thermal spray coating specialist, based in the North West, Alphatek Hyperformance Coatings works within a diverse range of industries, providing complete metal spraying, thermal spray coatings, and finishing services.

Brief

As a long-established business and market leader in their industry, Alphatek already knew their customers and had an excellent understanding of the industries they operated in. However, a series of unintentional events led Shaun and his team to realise they had an opportunity to work with other businesses they hadn’t previously considered customers.

When a leading automotive manufacturer approached the business asking if Alphatek could spray their metallised coating onto carbon fibre, Managing Director, Shaun Greenwood realised the market potential for the solution Alphatek had already developed to perfection.

Shaun decided to partner with a digital marketing agency that could specifically help Alphatek increase its online presence to new customers and improve the buyer journey for existing markets.

Shaun said: “We are in this for the long haul. We have developed a range of proprietary products since we were established over 30 years ago, but we knew we needed to get our name out there more.”

Approach

After an audit of the Alphatek website, GrowTraffic formed a multi-channel, organic digital marketing strategy which included PPC, SEO, content marking and social media management.

Results

Our organic SEO approach has seen almost all the tracked keywords move from an average ranking position of page 4 to page 1 within 6 months. The website also has a lot more potential reach due to the SEO articles we have produced for Alphatek every week. We have also streamlined and cut budget wastage on the business’s PPC activities, with current campaigns being much more targeted towards the products they offer.
