We’re pleased to announce GrowTraffic’s Managing Director, Rachel Weinhold, has been nominated for the Enterprising Woman category of the Rossendale Business Awards 2017.
The Rossendale Business Awards is in its eighth year and is organised by local business association, Valley at Work. This is Rossendale’s only locally focussed awards event geared towards celebrating the achievements and successes of local businesses. Every year the awards ceremony packs out the Riverside in Whitworth. So if you want your tickets, be sure to book them early.
The Enterprising Woman Award was established to recognise women who are inspiring role models who others look up to, and feel empowered to aspire to emulate.
During its first year, the Enterprising Woman category was sponsored by the Soroptimists of Rossendale. Soroptimists aim to help women and girls around the world achieve their potential in terms of health, education and economic opportunities through empowerment. As a Soroptimist herself, this is a category that’s very close to Rachel’s heart.
Four nominees were shortlisted finalists; Alison Ashworth, Anita Kenyon, Christine Moffat and Dawn Mellors with Christine Moffat being awarded the accolade of Rossendale’s Enterprising Woman 2016.
Alison Driver presented the awards and said: “Christine was chosen in recognition of her long record of training and developing her female employees to enable them to achieve their potential and for using charitable fundraising as a means to develop a supportive, inclusive working environment”.
This year the Enterprising Woman category is sponsored by Dawn Rose Contemporary Jewellery & Accessories who offers a collection of personally sourced unusual and beautiful, jewellery, scarves, accessories and handbags.
Rachel’s nomination in the Enterprising Woman category is a nod to our continued focus on working with local businesses and a testament to our approach, which is focussed on educating, empowering and inspiring local businesses to promote their businesses to the widest possible audience.
As such, we believe it’s important to recognise the great things businesses are doing around us. As a digital marketing consultancy, we largely concentrate on SEO services – and I’d be happy to demonstrate the creativity that goes into SEO – we’re honoured to be sponsoring the Creative Business category for the second year in a row.
