Happy Christmas from GT

Here at GrowTraffic we love Christmas. There isn’t a ‘bah humbug’ to be seen.

Even the most fun deprived amongst us will festoon themselves with antlers, Christmas jumpers and hats. And we are mostly pissed for the whole of December*.

*Just kidding. We are very professional!

I know many of you sit and wonder what the individual GroFos get up to on their Christmas day. In fact, each year our fans write in and beg us for specifics. So, we thought we would put an end to the endless speculation on Twitter and tell you.

(One of the GroFos didn’t respond to the WhatsApp message asking them so I will just make it up. See if you can spot who it is. Hint-it isn’t Madison. Even I couldn’t invent something that …unique!)

Elicia:

Favourite Christmas drink: Snowball

Favourite bit of the Christmas dinner: My mum’s secret recipe stuffing

Weirdest family tradition: ‘My mum always phones me screaming ‘HAS HE BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN?’. No ‘hello’ or anything.

Favourite Christmas day game to play: Charades

Chloe:

Favourite Christmas drink: Mimosa

Favourite bit of the Christmas dinner: Turkey-It’s a good meat. We should have it more than once a year.*

Weirdest family tradition: Does scrapping count?

Favourite Christmas day game to play: Charades

*Chloe’s partner is a butcher’s son. Should we tell her turkey is on sale all year round?

Rachel:

Favourite Christmas drink: Sherry

Favourite bit of the Christmas dinner: Veggie pigs in blankets

Weirdest family tradition: Sherry for breakfast. And lunch, And pudding.

Favourite Christmas day game to play: Who can drink the most sherry before nanna has it all.

Hannah:

Favourite Christmas drink: I like a sherry first thing with presents. Then I move on to a couple of beers before lunch, then Moscow Mules throughout the evening.

Favourite bit of the Christmas dinner: I bloody love sprouts. And parsnips with burnt ends.

Weirdest family tradition: There was always an argument over the parsnips because they were burnt. It happened every year so Christmas isn’t Christmas if the parsnips don’t leave an acrid taste in your mouth.

Favourite Christmas day game to play: Trivial Pursuits or a good old fashioned drinking game like in days of yore.

Jake:

Favourite Christmas drink: Baileys

Favourite bit of the Christmas dinner: Roasties

Weirdest family tradition: We have a games night and party food on Xmas eve

Favourite Christmas day game to play: Beer pong

Rebecca:

Favourite Christmas drink: Baileys

Favourite bit of the Christmas dinner: Overcooked pigs in blankets

Weirdest family tradition: Not sure if it’s weird but we still get a stocking with a chocolate coin, tangerine, and a shiny pound coin in the bottom in our 30s.

Favourite Christmas day game to play: Taboo

Dalley:

Favourite Christmas drink: Got to be lamb.

Favourite bit of the Christmas dinner: Lamb

Weirdest family tradition: Each year my grandma would make a massive Christmas pudding out of roast potatoes, and we would take it in turns to try and find the lamb shank she had buried in it.

Favourite Christmas day game to play: Pot-Pud-Shank, as described above.

Mads:

Favourite Christmas drink: Bucks Fizz

Favourite bit of the Christmas dinner: My dad always makes an amazing soup for the starter

Weirdest family tradition: We do pie presents. There is a big box (the pie) in the middle of the room with string coming out of it. You find the string with your name on it and pull and there is a little gift attached. But there are 16 of us and the string just gets tangled up and comes loose so you’re left with a piece of string and a box full of unlabelled presents.

Favourite Christmas day game to play: My family do trivia quizzes and it gets very competitive, but I always win thanks to my superior intelligence.

merry christmas from the GT team
