Happy New Year!

Having not written a GT blog for some considerable time, I have now been given the honour of writing our first blog of 2018 – and what an honour that is! I know, you’re jealous. I would be too.

Reasons Why Bigging-Up Your Competitors Is A Good Idea

Yesterday, I read a really interesting blog post on Search Engine Journal by Tom Demers entitled 5 Reasons Why It’s OK To Mention Competitors In Your Content. Funnily enough, this post struck an instant chord with me, as it almost word for word echoed a conversation I had with one of my clients a week or so ago. I Once Was A Freelance SEO Copywriter


As a freelance SEO copywriter, I spent many years writing on a huge variety of subjects, ranging from health insurance to washing machines. What’s more, as a Grammar Nazi with an English degree under my belt and years of experience in a variety of writing styles,  my copy is always well written with the correct spelling, punctuation and grammar. We’re lucky to live in a very cold and drafty ramshackle old farmhouse on the edge of the moors, with hundreds of animals and plenty of dirt. I am married to Simon Dalley and we have one son, Leon.
