So you probably want to get more traffic to your website and increasing your rankings in Google is going to be one of the first places to start. If your business has been around for virtually any length of time, it’s more than likely that you already have some kind of website and that website probably already has had some search engine optimisation carried out on it and perhaps had some offsite work carried out as well. The thing is you’re going to want an expert in search engine optimisation to work on your website if you really want it to rank effectively and generate traffic through search.
Who Are The Leading SEOs In The UK In 2018?
It’s been quite a while since I’ve created a top SEOs blog post, but I consistently get SEO orientated digital marketers reaching out to me to see if they could be included in one of my top SEO lists.
So, let’s get something straight right from the start. The GrowTraffic, TOP SEO list is created using the vaguest of methodologies. There is a bit of science behind it but I’m not going to try to pretend that this is a scientific analysis of who the top SEOs are in the UK. You could probably conclude that this is at best competitor analysis of those competing in the SEO space in Google’s SERPs from a GrowTraffc perspective. Read more
How an SEO consultant thinks about duplicate content when SEO copywriting
Often in SEO, we discuss the issue of duplicated content. It’s something that many people working in the realm of digital marketing and copywriting are aware of, however, what do we know about the real impact of duplicated content?
Probably one of the most common myths in SEO is that duplicate content is penalised. How to use Google Keyword Tool for SEO
Google’s keyword tool was originally developed with Google Adwords users in mind. I’ve been using Adwords for more than ten years now and whilst it’s essential for this task, it’s also the basis for SEO research and many other business decisions including product development.
From the perspective of gaining rankings in Google SERPs, and thereby increase the number of visitors to a website through SEO, Google’s keyword tool can be used in a number of ways.

There’s going to be a huge impact to the way we do business and the way we carry out our marketing activities when The EU’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) comes into force on 25th May 2018. This got me questioning what the implications are for SEO consultants and SEO managers. Read more

Happy (Sort Of) New Year!
Happy New Year and welcome to my first blog of 2015! Now I know what you’re thinking – your first blog of 2015? January’s nearly over, what have you been doing for the past three weeks? Well, unfortunately for me – and GrowTraffic too, as it turns out – I’ve been having a little holiday courtesy of the NHS and your favourite SEO Consultancy’s rankings have taken a bit of a hit as a consequence.
So I’m going to kick off this year’s blog posts with a little look at what has gone wrong and why; but instead of treating you to my usual 1,500 word moan, I’m going to start as I mean to go on in 2015 by putting my Positive Thinking Hat on and we’ll see what we can all learn from this experience. Let’s look on it as group therapy, and then we can pass around the sick bags once we’ve finished. Read more
Why Google Dislikes Blog Networks?
This is the next SEO technique that Google appears to be going after (or has gone after big style in the last couple of months). A blog network is a group of blogs – normally bog standard wordpress installs, with basic wordpress templates and lots of content.
