There are so many SEOs out there (I’m one of them), and it’s hard to determine who’s the best.
I don’t think you can say that anyone is the best at SEO as we all implement different strategies for different businesses.
Who is at the cutting edge of SEO trends?
I think this is a better question to ask. If you are looking for the right SEO to come on board and help your business, you want to be sure that they know what they’re talking about.
That they’ve not just picked up some SEO speak from the pub and are selling you some of the standard SEO BS that happens all too often.
Ask for SEO referrals.
If you’re not sure, it’s probably a good idea to ask for some referrals.
I’m not in the habit of sending out reams of testimonials, but I can put you in touch with the people I’ve worked with either by email or by telephone – let them tell you in person the good and bad points about working with me.
I’m often referred to (and regularly refer to myself) as an SEO Expert. This blog was inspired by my thinking about what gives me the right to refer to myself like that.
True, you have to position yourself one way; however, there has to be something a bit more deep-seated than just placing.
It’s about the experience on the one hand; however, it’s also about the right kind of experience – probably the best reason that I can call myself an expert is I work in quite a small niche – I’m a marketer yes, I’m an internet marketer yes, I’m a search marketer absolutely and within all that I’m an SEO Expert.
Really that’s what you want to look for if you’re trying to work out who the best SEO is – you want to be clear that the SEO you’re speaking to has made all the mistakes under the sun, done something about it and lived to tell the tale.
The internet is far too big to say this person or that person is the best, there are far too many influencing factors, and without other members of the search community, none of us would be able to achieve half the things we achieve today.
